Monica Binsfeld grew up in the Bay Area and has called Sonoma County her
home for the past 12 years.
Monica received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Design from University of
California at Davis. An internship with Yoshiko Iwamoto Wada in Berkeley
immersed her in Asian and Indian textiles. Working in Paris began an
impressive resume including world-class design firms, such as Esprit,
O'Neill and Fanatic in France, Germany, Italy and California.
She has traveled the world defining and redefining her mark on interior
design. Recently, Marrakech, Morocco beckoned her to study the process of
Tadelakt, an ancient and highly specialized waterproof lime plaster
technique, used both on the inside and outside of buildings.
Her adventuresome spirit and quest for fresh ideas are apparent in her designs.
As a daughter of a residential and commercial contractor, Monica's approach
balances aesthetics with the technicalities of interior design. She blends
her business and artistic sensibilities with a great passion for sustainable
design.
In January 2009, Monica became a Certified Green Building
Professional (CGBP). Ecco Mi's inspiration is rooted in the conserving and resourceful efforts of
our local community.
Ecco Mi Design promotes the use of green products for
healthy homes and for a healthy environment.
